The Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) at the National University Hospital (NUH) was set up in 1997. As NUH is a key partner of the National University of Singapore (NUS), the CTU maintains a strong link with NUS and provides a conducive environment for conducting clinical trials.

The CTU has managed a wide variety of Phase I to Phase IV clinical trials. These trials were sponsored by various government agencies [eg. National Medical Research Council (NMRC) and a few major pharmaceutical companies.

The Clinical Trials Unit conducts a variety of clinical trials which requires the participation of healthy volunteers and / or individuals with specific medical conditions, eg. diabetes, high blood pressure etc.
